Privacy policy

The short version: we collect only what the site needs to work, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect

• Your email, only if you subscribe. We store your address and signup source so we can deliver the newsletter and understand which signup forms are useful. Our email provider also processes the address when newsletter delivery is enabled.
• Traffic statistics, if analytics is enabled. These can include the page visited, device type, approximate location, and referring site. We use them to understand how the site is used, not to assemble personal reading profiles.

Spam protection

Signup forms use a hidden bot check and rate limits. Cloudflare Turnstile may also process basic request and device information when that service is enabled.

Affiliate links

Some future articles may include affiliate links. Those pages will carry a disclosure. A retailer may set its own cookie after a click so it can credit a purchase under its own privacy policy.

Getting your data removed

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, which stops future sends. Once the public contact mailbox is listed on our contact page, you can also ask us to remove the information we hold about your subscription.
